This puzzle was frustrating while trying to solve it, but certainly fair once finding a solution. Coming from someone whose hands sometimes shake and twitch, it's certainly easy to get down on yourself by convincing yourself that this is purely a dexterity puzzle and you're doomed; you're not. I actually found an alternate solution that was stable and can be assembled by one person. (It stayed standing for over an hour and survived a few bangs into the table without falling. It came down when I chose to take it down. This isn't the type of thing that only stays assembled for a split-second.) After that I read the posted solution, which is fair and can also be assembled by one person who doesn't have rock solid hands. The posted solution is the better solution, but at least one other is possible. This is a good puzzle that makes use of simple objects.

We used this puzzle as an icebreaker at our retreats, and it was a hit. A couple people solved it quickly, and hid their solution from others. Those that couldn't solve it were ready to fight for the solution. It is a "simple" puzzle, but one that takes a little outside the box thinking to solve. The right "balance" of patience and ingenuity goes a long way on this one.
